Report: ‘Frightening’ player is happier than ever now after rejecting deadline day Tottenham transfer
Tottenham Hotspur made an ambitious effort to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona on transfer deadline day in January.
The Frenchman had a big problem with the Catalans last month. He was publicly told to either sign a new contract or leave the club, and Barca did everything they possibly could to push him out of the door.
However, Dembele rejected every offer that came his way, including one from Tottenham, who tried to lure him in just a few hours before the transfer window shut on the last day of January. ()
15 days later now, it looks like Dembele doesn’t regret his decision at all.

Right after the end of the January transfer window, revealed that Barcelona were absolutely furious with Dembele for not entertaining talks with Tottenham over a potential transfer.
It even seemed like he would never be allowed to step foot inside the Camp Nou again, but Xavi has now forgotten whatever happened in January and has reintegrated the Frenchman into his squad.
As a result, Sport reveal today that Dembele is ‘happier than ever’ at Barcelona and he has no regrets about turning down offers from Tottenham and other clubs who were interested in his services.

Football is a funny game and nothing really is impossible, but it really does feel like January was Tottenham Hotspur’s best chance of signing Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman will be a free agent in the summer transfer window and it’s certain that a ton of top clubs across Europe will be interested in signing him.
Tottenham may well be one of those clubs, but it is extremely unlikely that Dembele, labelled as ‘‘ by Lionel Messi, will agree a move to Antonio Conte’s side, especially after he rejected them in the winter window.
