TBR View – Carter-Vickers surely facing last chance to save Tottenham career

It is becoming increasingly difficult to see Carter-Vickers making the grade at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The USA international is yet to make a Premier League appearance for Spurs. And he has not played for the first-team since the 2016/17 campaign.

If the chance has not already gone, it does seem that Carter-Vickers is facing one final opportunity to save his Tottenham career.

But it does appear that he needs an inspired spell should he leave this month.

Players have fought back from disappointing loan moves before. But the expectations at Tottenham have risen again in recent years. And the fans would be forgiven for writing Carter-Vickers off.

But with a number of Championship clubs reportedly interested, perhaps the centre-back could be given a last chance to make Spurs sit up and take notice.
