Report: Everton want Juventus midfielder Emre Can; but Toffees fear problem
Everton are interested in signing Emre Can this month, that they fear a potential problem in attempting to lure the Juventus midfielder to Goodison Park.
Can looks set to be on the move during the January transfer window. The Daily Mirror reports that Juve have deemed the 26-year-old to be surplus to requirements.

He has made just two Serie A starts this season. Meanwhile, he has appeared just five times from the bench in the top flight.
that Carlo Ancelotti wanted Can while he was in charge of Napoli in the summer, but they were priced out of a move.

But it appears that he is planning to have another go now he is on Merseyside.
Unfortunately for the Toffees boss, the Daily Mirror suggests that Can’s time playing at Liverpool may prove to be an issue.
He has reportedly made it clear that he would not join Manchester United due to his spell with the Reds, and it remains to be seen whether he has a similar feeling about playing for Everton.
The Mirror notes that the Old Lady want £30 million for Can, while his wages come to £100,000-a-week. But it appears that that would not be a problem for the Toffees.
TBR View – Can an intriguing target for Everton
It would be no surprise if the reports divided plenty of Toffees fans. Can has arguably shown on occasion that he has the quality to be a fantastic player.
And there is no shame in not being able to get into the Juventus side at the moment.
So some Everton fans may be open to the idea of Can joining. But there will definitely be others who are not happy about the links.
Some simply may not believe that there is genuine interest. It would be a gamble from Ancelotti, and Can would arguably have more to prove given his previous spell in the Premier League.
And there may actually be some fans who are not convinced that he would be a good signing. He has struggled for game-time in Turin having not always impressed the supporters during his time at Anfield.
It would be fascinating to see if Everton do make a move for Can in the coming weeks. But you could certainly understand if plenty of Toffees fans were expecting the reports to come to nothing.
