Report: Everton set sights on £73k-a-week star that may be available for nothing
Everton are reportedly setting their sights on Bournemouth star Asmir Begovic.
the Toffees are considering the experienced 34-year-old as a possible target.
The report says he still has one year left on his contract with Championship club Bournemouth, but they may be prepared to let him go on a free transfer.
Begovic, who earns , is someone who’s well known to English audiences.
His side fell short of promotion last season in the play-offs, but he was an outstanding performer in net. He finished up with 18 clean sheets in 51 games across all competitions.
Additionally, he’s a solid shot-stopper that has played 252 Premier League games in his career. He has played in the top flight before with Bournemouth, Stoke City, Chelsea and Portsmouth.

Begovic solid number two for Everton
Begovic on a free transfer would be a no-brainer, so it’s a deal Everton should seriously consider.
Perhaps his wages has some reason behind why Bournemouth could let him go early from his deal, as it’s certainly not for what he’s doing on the pitch.
Everton and England number one Jordan Pickford seems likely to be the main man again in net. However, he benefits massively from increased competition.
Begovic would bring so much experience to Goodison Park from his career, so would be a help to the squad.
