Report: Everton set sights on £101k-a-week star at third-placed club, Benitez wants him
Everton are reportedly setting their sights on Barcelona star Clement Lenglet.
, Toffees manager Rafael Benitez would like to bring the defender to Goodison Park this summer.
It is understood that Benitez wants the 26-year-old to take the role as a leader in the Everton backline, so he could end up making a move to the Premier League.
The report says he could be a replacement for Yerry Mina, who’s not fancied by Benitez.
Lenglet, who earns , was an ever-present in a Barcelona team that finished third in La Liga last season.
The centre-back played 48 games across all competitions, but Sport reports he did not finish the campaign well.

Would Lenglet be a good Everton signing?
For Everton, an extra signing at centre-half this summer makes sense.
It’s reportedly an area Benitez is focusing on strengthening, so the Merseyside club need to back him in that sense to give the team the best chance of really mounting a European bid in the Premier League.
Lenglet has played 133 games for Barcelona in just three season and is a ball-playing centre-back that on his day looks extremely comfortable.
The Frenchman would have a different challenge altogether in the Premier League. However, he could be a top signing if he finds consistency.
