Report: Everton owner Farhad Moshiri wants to look at signing Diego Costa
Everton could reportedly turn attention to Atletico Madrid centre-forward Diego Costa.
, the Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri has ordered the club to look into a possible swoop for him this summer.
It is understood that they want to make a marquee addition in attack during the transfer window and the La Liga frontman is being considered, while they nearly signed him back in 2017 too.
The report details that Costa is likely to exit Atletico this summer due to a strained relationship with them.
Costa is undoubtedly a controversial figure on the field and an eight-game ban last season for insulting a referee is one of several examples of his bad behaviour.
The 30-year-old has been a goal machine throughout his career though and has proven himself in the Premier League.
His 120 games for Chelsea saw him scored 58 goals in return and win two Premier League titles.
The Spaniard also has 76 goals in 178 appearances during his spells for Atletico.

TBR’s View:
Everton desperately need a centre-forward to help them compete with the Premier League’s elite next season and Costa is definitely a risk worth taking.
Aside from the bad behaviour, he’s a nuisance for defenders to play against and will score goals at a decent rate.
He’s the type of focal point that would breathe new life into the attack at Goodison Park and fans would surely love him if he was one of their own.
The striker is still aged just 30 and would be the marquee addition the club’s chiefs are demanding.
