Report: Everton now interested in Rennes striker Serhou Guirassy
Everton are interested in signing Serhou Guirassy as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his striker options before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a report from .
The Toffees went into their Premier League opener without their two main strikers. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is injured, while Salomon Rondon was suspended for the defeat to Chelsea.

Their absences seemed to hurt Everton, who were beaten 1-0.
Reports overnight claimed that the Toffees plan to make a loan bid for Armando Broja this weekend. But he is not the only forward on Everton’s radar.

In fact, reports that Lampard wants to sign Guirassy after initially being impressed with the Guinea international two years ago while he was Chelsea boss.
The report notes that the 26-year-old is available for £15 million from Rennes. But a loan that would become permanent should Everton stay up cannot be ruled out either.
Everton interested in Guirassy
Guirassy boasts a decent record from his time with Rennes. In total, he has scored 18 Ligue 1 goals in 57 games. Meanwhile, his career record is better than a goal every four games.
Perhaps that will not overly excite the Goodison Park faithful. But he does offer a lot more. Guirassy likes to get involved in the build-up play. And he works hard for the team.
Everton fans may prefer a player who tends to be more prolific. Work-rate was certainly not an issue in their loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
But he could be a shrewd signing if Everton and Rennes are now able to agree terms.
