Everton now pulling away from signing ‘exceptional’ Leeds player they’ve wanted since 2023
Everton are looking to bring in more players this summer but in a sudden twist it appears they won’t be signing one Leeds United star.
❀The Toffees are in the midst of takeover talks but that hasn’t stopped them being active in the window as they look to strengthen.
The likes of Iliman Ndiaye✤ and Jesper Lindstrom have arrived and more are expected to follow as well, with Jake O’Brien set for a medical this week.
Of course, Sean Dyche༺ wants to add as much quality and depth as he can and he’ll hope for more new additions soon.
However, while 🍰Everton hold interest in a number of players, one long-time target, Willy Gnonto, could now be overlooked in favour of others.
Everton to move on from signing Willy Gnonto
🍃According to , Everton’s interest in Leeds United star Gnonto is now waning as they consider making moves for other players.
🍬The Italian winger is believed to be keen on a move to Goodison Park but Everton are considering other players instead.

ꦇEverton’s interest in Gnonto stretches back to 2023 but with money an issue, nothing was ever done.
🌸Gnonto was expected to leave Leeds this summer after they failed to win promotion but so far, only Archie Gray has left Elland Road.
💛However, it now looks like Gnonto will need to find a new interested party if he is to move on.
Leeds would be happy to keep Gnonto
Leeds value the ‘exceptional‘ Gnonto around the £25m𒁏 mark and it remains to be seen whether anyone will pay such a fee for a Championship player.
♋Leeds, of course, would be happy to keep Gnonto around and build an attack around the likes of him and Crysencio Summerville.
▨Everton, meanwhile, will be fully aware that time is ticking in this window and more new signings will be needed.
🌌For now, though, it appears Willy Gnonto will not be one of those new signings.
