Report: Everton make loan-to-buy offer for Arsenal ace; Edu could have sold for £20m a year ago
Everton have made a loan-to-buy offer for Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
, the Toffees have made an approach to sign the 24-year-old England international. As per the report, Arsenal are considering the proposal for Maitland-Niles, who is free to leave this window.
The versatile Arsenal academy graduate spent the second half of last season with West Bromwich Albion. Although the Baggies were relegated, Maitland-Niles impressed for the Hawthorns side.

Indeed, Everton are eager to sign a right-back this window. And Maitland-Niles has seemingly appeared as an option for Rafa Benitez’ side. There are under 48 hours of the window to go.
The Arsenal star has failed to make much of an impact under Mikel Arteta. This is despite being a key player to the club’s FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs last year.
Moreover, as , Edu Gaspar rejected a £20m bid from Wolved for Maitland-Niles. A decision that is now looking rather foolish from the Arsenal board.

With Everton signing Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi from the Gunners in the past, Maitland-Niles could be the next player to make the move from north London to Merseyside.
But with time running out, Everton have to work quick if they are to add Maitland-Niles to their ranks for the remainder of the season.
