Report: Everton join Arsenal in pursuit of left-footed free agent
that Everton have joined the race to sign free agent Layvin Kurzawa with the PSG defender’s contract set to expire in less than a fortnight – with Arsenal already linked.
Kurzawa, 27, has seemingly played his last game for PSG as he is one of a number of players set to leave the French champions for nothing. Thomas Meunier, Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani are also set to leave on a free.
Spanish outlet Sport claimed France international Kurzawa was keen on a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners tempting the left-footed flyer the most out of those he had spoken to.
The Gunners already boast Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac – while Bukayo Saka can also play as a left-back. Now, Everton have joined the race, with Carlo Ancelotti ‘carefully’ looking at Kurzawa.

TBR’s view – Do Everton need Kurzawa?
The Toffees are set to lose both Leighton Baines and Luke Garbutt on a free transfer this summer, leaving Lucas Digne as the only available left-sided defender in the first-team squad.
So, Everton need cover – or competition – for Digne. Kurzawa is available for nothing, but his contract is likely to be an expensive one. Would he join Everton with the likelihood that he may be second choice?
Secondly, would Everton hand out a big contract only for Kurzawa to play second fiddle to Digne? It remains to be seen – but it is certainly unlikely.
