, Arias – who Brands signed for PSV Eindhoven in 2013 – is closing in on a move to Merseyside after talks reached an advanced stage.

The Mail notes that it remains to be seen how much Everton will potentially pay for Arias. But it does appear that a move for the Colombia international could prove to be a very good piece of business.

The 28-year-old made 14 La Liga appearances last season, while he also played twice in the Champions League.

He is a solid defender who can also contribute in the final third. He provided a raft of assists during his time in the Eredivisie.

And it appears that it may not be too long before he gets the chance to show what he can do in the Premier League with Ancelotti’s side.
