Report: Everton have now made their move to sign ‘phenomenal’ PL player, talks happening right now
Everton are now in talks to sign Manchester United central midfielder James Garner.
The claim that the Toffees have made their move to try and sign the Englishman amid Dele Alli’s impending exit.
Garner shone at Nottingham Forest on loan last season but despite United’s need for central midfielders, he does not seem to be part of Erik ten Hag’s plans.
United have put him up for sale for a price in the region of £14 million, and there is plenty of interest in his signature.

Everton in Garner talks
Southampton, Leicester and Tottenham are all named in the report as interested in Garner, and Spurs could of course offer Champions League football.
That said, they are apparently unwilling to pay £14 million for Garner, and the same goes for Leeds, who of course have a bitter rivalry with United.
Leicester need to sell before they can buy, so there is an opportunity there for Everton and they look to have stolen a march in the race.
Garner’s quality has reminded Trevor Sinclair of former England captain David Beckham.
In January, he said: “James Garner’s deliveries remind me of David Beckham’s. He’s got that dip and that whip and it causes so many problems. The pace on the ball, he’s putting it on a sixpence every time.
“The advantage is with the attackers because they know where he’s aiming depending on what signal he puts up. It’s an absolutely phenomenal cross that he’s got in the locker.”
