Everton have been handed a blow in their pursuit of Joaquin Correa, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
Earlier on Saturday, we reported how the Toffees made Lazio an offer of £31million for their striker.
In addition, Everton apparently made Correa a “rich” contract offer of around £4.1million-per-year including bonuses.

The Goodison Park outfit is reportedly up against Inter Milan in pursuit of Correa.
But despite the Toffees seemingly having more financial muscle than the Nerazzurri, there seems to be a problem.
Alfredo Pedulla’s claims Correa is eager to join the Serie A champions and is willing to wait for them.
The Argentina forward “knows” Simone Inzaghi rates him very highly and his agent has apparently had a meeting with Inter.
In addition, he’s reportedly not “entirely convinced” about playing in the Premier League, particularly for a team “out of the Champions League”.
Correa is a very talented striker who has done so well for Lazio and claimed a major international trophy this summer.
However, should Everton keep moving for a player who appears to have his mind set on a move elsewhere?
With that in mind, the Toffees should probably keep an eye out for other targets this summer.
