Report: Everton finally reach Allan transfer agreement, Champions League add-ons held up deal

It appears Everton are finally reaching an agreement with Napoli for the transfer of Allan today, according to reports in Italy.

that Everton and Napoli will reach an agreement for a transfer in the coming hours. The final price tag will be a figure in the region of €34 million (£30.5m) for the player, who has been a target for Carlo Ancelotti’s throughout the summer.

The Italian worked with the Brazilian midfield maestro during his time at the Stadio San Paolo and clearly views him as the perfect option to help strengthen Everton’s weak midfield position.

The report also details why Napoli and Everton have struggled to reach an accord. Everton wanted several add-ons in the deal which related to their qualification to the Champions League. Napoli do not believe that is realistic, and therefore felt they would never receive any money from this related add-on.

It appears an understanding has been met with Allan reportedly excited at the prospect of playing in England and reuniting with Ancelotti. Allan is said to be at his home in Quarto, Campania, awaiting the go-ahead to progress with a medical before becoming an Everton player.

Whilst Everton fans will have mixed emotions on the deal, considering the price-tag and the player’s age, it is clear Ancelotti believes the dynamic midfielder is what the club needs in the centre of the park.

Hopefully, this transfer can finally get finalised and Everton fans can start getting excited about the maestro’s ability to improve the current Toffees set-up.
