The Toffees were beaten by Thomas Tuchel’s side on the opening day of the Premier League campaign. Jorginho’s penalty separated the two sides at Goodison Park.

Calvert-Lewin is currently out with injury. And with that, it appears imperative that Everton land a new striker before the end of the window. And it seems that they hope to make progress on that front in the coming hours.

Broja actually came on against Everton. But it does seem that he may struggle for regular minutes this season – should he stay at Chelsea.
that Everton are expected to bid for Broja this weekend. They want the Albania international on loan.
Everton to make Broja bid this weekend
Broja has been on the radar throughout the summer. Reports in July claimed that he was the Toffees’ top target.
The problem Everton perhaps face is that Chelsea are battling on four fronts this season. And if Tuchel does not sign another striker himself, the 20-year-old could have a role to play.
He would have the potential to be a brilliant addition for Everton. His form for Southampton was ‘‘ at times last season. And he would ask a lot of the same questions as Calvert-Lewin.
Everton fans may not need to wait too long to learn whether he will be staying on Merseyside as the rest of the Chelsea squad return to London.
