Report: Everton could sign £25m-rated PL star in player-plus-cash deal
Everton may reportedly have some luck in trying to sign Burnley’s Dwight McNeil if they include their man Jonjoe Kenny as part of a player-plus-cash deal.
According to the , Everton and Aston Villa are keen on signing the 21-year-old Premier League rising star this summer.
Toffees manager Rafael Benitez wants to bring in another winger during this window, so attention has turned to Burnley’s youngster. Everton value McNeil at £25million, albeit it’s still unclear on how much he will actually cost.
Everton may reportedly have an advantage over Villa though because a player-plus-cash deal including Toffees defender Kenny may appeal to Burnley. The Clarets tried to sign him back in January, so he could be a factor.
Kenny, 24, is on the pre-season trip this summer with Everton, picking up minutes already. However, he’s had numerous spells out on loan and doesn’t look like overtaking club captain Seamus Coleman to become the first-choice right-back.

Dwight McNeil would be superb Everton signing
For Kenny, a permanent exit for him to try play regularly makes sense at this stage of his career. Everton could really do with a marquee signing at right-back to compete with Coleman.
Meanwhile, Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend have both arrived at Goodison Park this summer to strengthen the wide areas. However, left-footed star McNeil is someone that would bring his own quality.
The Burnley flyer has been a regular in the top flight in the past couple of years. He looks destined for a big move at some stage.
