The Toffees could potentially earn £60million from the sale of Gordon, a huge boost late on in the window.

However, Everton will need to source a replacement for the 21-year-old.

And according to the , Everton have Bournemouth’s Jaidon Anthony in their sights.

The 22-year-old shone for the Cherries last season, helping them earn automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Anthony registered eight goals and six assists in 45 Championship games last season.

He is out of contract at the Vitality Stadium next summer with contract talks ongoing.

“Superb”

Anthony joined Bournemouth’s academy in 2016 and has risen through the ranks to become a first-team star.

In March 2022, Scott Parker sung the former Arsenal youngster’s praises following a 2-0 win over Derby.

He told the Daily Echo, via !: “Jaidon Anthony is a player that goes under the radar massively to be quite honest with you.

“What he does for this team is nothing short of incredible at times really.

“Because in possession I think we see his quality, his calmness, his silkiness, when he makes good decisions at times.

“But the stuff that goes unnoticed is probably the defensive side, what he brings to this team and what he brings to it really.

“I thought he epitomised everything we were about (on Saturday).

“If there was one player you wanted to look at in terms of that, it’s probably a bit harsh on all of them really, but Jaidon was superb. I was very pleased with him.”
