The Colombian centre-back, , has only featured once this season.

Mina managed 70 minutes on the opening day of the season against Chelsea before picking up an ankle injury.

He’s been unavailable to Frank Lampard ever since, but may now struggle to get back into the team.

The emergence of Conor Coady and James Tarkowski as Lampard’s first-choice centre-back partnership means Everton may now cash in on Mina.

Inter interested in Mina

In the summer, Lampard and Everton were ready to sell Mina in order to raise funds, as reported by .

It’s certainly a deal worth considering from Everton’s point of view, given Mina’s injury record since arriving at Goodison Park.

The Colombian is clearly a formidable defender when fit, but has spent too long on the physio’s table since signing from Barcelona.

In Coady and Tarkowski, Lampard has two dependable defenders, and a group of young centre-backs to fall on if needed.

Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate certainly have potential but have also struggled with injuries.

Jarrad Branthwaite is enjoying a decent loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, and could be in consideration next year.

Given Lampard has previously agreed to selling Mina, Inter’s offer for the centre-back must be carefully considered.

Freeing up Mina’s wages will also allow Everton to better negotiate with their current players.

One player in particular, Anthony Gordon, is on the top of Everton’s to-do list for new deals right now.
