Napoli are holding out for £30.5 million, and the hope is that a deal can soon be struck.

Allan is one of Everton’s main targets this summer, with the 29-year-old well known to Carlo Ancelotti during the Italian’s brief stint at San Paolo Stadium.

The South American has been with the club since 2015 after joining from Udinese, and has made 212 appearances in total.

He has carved out a reputation as being an all-action midfield dynamo, capable of winning the ball back and driving forwards in possession.

The star is a real workhorse in the engine room, which is something that has perhaps been lacking in recent times.

Not only does he put himself about, but Allan does have admirable technical quality which goes some way to explaining why Napoli are valuing him around the £30 million mark.
