Report: Everton begin talks with CSKA Moscow about Cenk Tosun loan
Everton forward Cenk Tosun is reportedly attracting interest from Russian top-flight club CSKA Moscow.
, CSKA Moscow have made an enquiry to try sign the 29-year-old on a short-term loan for the rest of the season.
It is explained that there are talks between the clubs about a possible loan deal, albeit they are at an “early stage” of negotiations.
The report adds that the striker is desperate to play regularly to force his way into the plans of internatonal side Turkey at this summer’s European Championships.
Tosun has made just seven appearances across all competitions this season, scoring once in an FA Cup win over Rotherham at the start of this month.
The £60,000-a-week star () is hardly getting a look-in due to the form of teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season, who’s the clear first-choice striker in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

TBR’s View:
For Tosun, he needs a move away this month to help his international aspirations and also just to play regular football.
He’s a striker that can be a good hold-up man and previously showed his class in front of goal during his time in Turkey.
His return of 11 goals in 58 games for Merseyside giants Everton isn’t appalling, but he’s never shown any consistency and a loan move this month makes perfect sense for all parties involved.
