Report: Everton approach Watford amid Abdoulaye Doucoure interest
Everton have confirmed their interest in Abdoulaye Doucoure by making an initial approach for the Watford midfielder, .
The Toffees, like many others, are yet to kick into top gear during the summer transfer window. However, perhaps that may be about to change.

that Carlo Ancelotti’s men were keen on Doucoure.
The report noted that Everton had two bids for Doucoure rejected last summer – one of which was worth £40 million.

It appears that they are hoping to have more luck this time around.
, Everton have now made contact with Watford as they look to agree a deal for Doucoure.
It remains to be seen how the Hornets respond to Everton’s enquiry. They will surely be aware that keeping the Frenchman will be an incredibly difficult task following their relegation.
Doucoure made 37 league appearances last season. He scored four goals. In fact, the club lost none of the games in which the midfielder found the back of the net.
Despite Watford’s relegation, Doucoure – who earns £70,000-a-week, – would arguably be an excellent signing for the Toffees if they can get a move across the line.
It would be little surprise to see Ancelotti look to add more quality to his ranks in the middle of the park.
And, one year after Everton missed out on landing Doucoure, it appears that they may have moved a step closer to securing his signature during this window.
