Report: Everton and Tottenham on another transfer collision course with Ivan Perisic available for £13.5m
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are already battling it out for the right to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton this summer and now, according to reports, could be in line for another collision course regarding a Croatian star.
Ivan Perisic has been on loan at Bayern Munich in 2019-20 from Inter Milan. It was widely believed that the Bavarians are ready to make that deal permanent in the summer. However, after the arrival of Leroy Sane, that no longer appears likely and Bayern are ready to let their option to buy the 31-year-old lapse.
Now, three teams in England are the most likely next destination for Perisic.
Manchester United are one such team, who could offer Alexis Sanchez in return.

However, Tottenham are said to have also made their interest known whilst Everton are also keen on the wide-man as a potential improvement to their current options.
The report claims that Inter could be willing to do business at €15 million (£13.5m) for the player, taking into consideration his age and 2022 contract expiry.
Jose Mourinho has previously wanted Perisic whilst in charge of Manchester United. United came up a few million short of a potential £50 million deal for the player in 2017. A year later, whilst covering the World Cup where Perisic helped Croatia to the final, Mourinho confessed his admiration for the player.

“I don’t know why he didn’t come to Manchester when I wanted him,” Mourinho told Russia Today, as whilst acting as a pundit. “Perisic is the kind of winger that is different to others. Normally you look at wingers and they are just fast and creative. But he is also physical, very physical, fantastic in the air.“
Carlo Ancelotti would undoubtedly like a player of Perisic’s quality as well, but it would be a hard task to convince him to drop out of European football and head to Goodison Park.
It seems several teams will be alerted by the news that Perisic is available and Tottenham and Everton might not be battling alone.
But whoever gets their hands on the player will be snapping up an under-rated talent who could bring vital experience to the Premier League.
