Report: Everton and Roma could swap Bernard and Robin Olsen in January
Everton could consider a swap deal which would see Bernard leave the club and a player currently on loan at Everton become a permanent fixture.
That is according to a They claim that Roma’s new general manager is targeting a swap deal between Everton and the Italian side which would see Bernard head to the Stadio Olimpico. Robin Olsen, who is currently on loan at Everton, would make his move to Goodison Park permanent as part of any deal.

Giallorossi boss Paolo Fonseca sees Bernard as the perfect replacement for Carles Perez, who they are trying to sell this month after disappointing in the Italian capital.
TBR’s View
Bernard is clearly slipping down the pecking order at Everton. He was recently snubbed in favour of Anthony Gordon for the Premier League clash with Sheffield United, although the Brazilian did come on to play a key role in that win.
The 28-year-old will undoubtedly be disappointed with his relative lack of action this season and a move away is probably for the best.
Everton would love to get Bernard’s wages off the bill. He is one of their best-paid players having signed on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk. , Bernard is on approximately £120,000-a-week at Goodison.
Olsen has also proved an able deputy and challenger for Jordan Pickford’s number one spot, something that was desperately needed to breed some competitive improvement in the England number one.
If Everton can also secure a cash fee as part of any swap deal, then this should be a no-brainer.
