Report: EPL-winning manager Claudio Ranieri on Celtic’s shortlist to succeed Neil Lennon

Roma manager Claudio Ranieri is on Celtic’s shortlist as they seek a new manager, .

The former Chelsea and Leicester City manager is one of several candidates Celtic are considering as they step up their hunt for a new manager.

Brendan Rodgers left Celtic to join Leicester earlier this season with Neil Lennon stepping in as the caretaker manager until the end of the season.

Lennon might have had his eyes on the full-time job but results have been erratic under his stewardship. It is likely that the Bhoys will look elsewhere.

Ranieri is currently with Roma and has experience in England (Chelsea, Leicester and Fulham), France (Monaco and Nantes), Spain (Valencia and Atletico Madrid), Italy (various) and he has even managed an international side (Greece).

Celtic could be the next stop for the 67-year-old, who looks destined to leave Roma this summer. He only recently took the job in the Italian capital but is already looking for a new post.

Ranieri is a highly-decorated coach who has won various trophies during his managerial career. His best achievement was winning the Premier League in England with minnows Leicester City against all odds.

 that Celtic are also considering three other options. Jose Mourinho is the headline name, while ex-West Ham boss Slaven Bilic and Frenchman Laurent Blanc are also included.
