Report: Edu has included sell-on clauses in deals for two Arsenal players, could make the club millions

Edu put sell-on clauses in deals which saw Matteo Guendouzi and Omari Hutchinson leave Arsenal this summer.

The reports that the club could make millions in the future from the deals which saw two promising players leave north London.

Those exits may well have been disappointing for the fans and it is not as if Arsenal got huge fees for either man to soften the blow.

But they could be set for a windfall in the future if the pair shine at their new clubs and earn a big-money move elsewhere.

Guendouzi made his loan move to Marseille permanent after impressing with the Ligue 1 outfit and helping them into the Champions League.

If the pair do do well elsewhere and become bigger stars, of course some Arsenal fans may be frustrated that their club did not keep them around.

But at least it would earn the club some money, with which they can go into the transfer market and try and get a player of the right quality anyway.

It will be interesting to see how both players progress, especially Hutchinson, given Chelsea’s propensity to loan out young talents before selling them on.
