Report: Diego Llorente may be back on the agenda for West Ham and Spurs
According to , Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente is interested in making a move to the Premier League. The report also states that West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are amongst the clubs to have previously shown an interest in signing the 25-year-old. They may now resume their pursuits of his signature.
The versatile Spaniard certainly has the quality to shine in the Premier League. Since his 2017 switch from boyhood club Real Madrid to Real Sociedad, Llorente has proven his ability to perform consistently at the highest level.
The four-cap Spain international made 21 La Liga appearances last season, and regularly impressed. He would have featured far more regularly, were it not for a few niggling injuries that occurred throughout the campaign.

Both West Ham and Spurs would be wise to try and secure Llorente’s services. Mauricio Pochettino should be especially keen to strike a deal for the defender. Llorente’s versatility allows him to feature at right-back. Following the recent departure of Kieran Trippier, Spurs could do with some additional cover in this area.
As for the Hammers, a centre-back should not be their highest priority this summer. In Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop, Manuel Pellegrini has a fine central pairing to put his trust in. However, Llorente would certainly still be an exciting signing who would improve the Chilean coach’s squad.
