Report details Lopetegui and En-Nesyri stance as West Ham table improved bid

that West Ham United are set to table an improved offer of £32million to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri this month – but manager Julian Lopetegui has reportedly ruled out a move for his striker.

En-Nesyri, 23, has thrown himself onto West Ham’s radar after scoring four goals in six Champions League group games for Sevilla – and 13 during his 26 league and cup appearances under the guidance of Julian Lopetegui.

The Athletic claimed earlier this week that West Ham had tabled an offer of £22.5million up front with add-ons worth £4.5million. But the offer was rejected, and subsequent reports have stated Sevilla want £35million.

Now, talks are ongoing for En-Nesyri and that West Ham are going to place an offer of £32million on the table for Sevilla. But after scoring on Tuesday night, Lopetegui has reportedly blocked the Moroccan’s move.

, who state that Lopetegui wants to keep his African forward. He shares the same desire to keep him at Sevilla as the player himself – who is happy with the La Liga outfit.

TBR’s view – En-Nesyri would be excellent

But West Ham need to admit defeat. Even at £32million, it is quite a chunk below Sevilla’s asking price of £35million and even if they reach that figure – it sounds as if Lopetegui would block a move.

They would also have trouble convincing the player to swap Champions League football to compete with Michail Antonio up front. The Hammers need to save time in the rapidly evaporating January window and go elsewhere.
