Report details Adrien Rabiot’s Everton desire, but Juventus swap intentions a major stumbling block

More details are emerging regarding Everton’s interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, and it appears the player wants to make a move to Goodison Park.

The key is Carlo Ancelotti, who handed Rabiot his debut at Paris Saint-Germain, and whom the mercurial French talent is desperate to work with again.

But one problem Everton may have is in doing business with Juventus.

, and Juventus are hoping to do plenty of swap deals this summer because of the financial impact caused by the global health crisis.

Rabiot, therefore, is a major asset as he could be used to help the Old Lady secure some of their own targets from bigger clubs. One example given is that of Arthur at Barcelona.

The problem for Everton is that none of the current crop at Goodison Park take the fancy of the Bianconeri.

It is likely the only players who Juventus would see as up to their standard, such as Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes, or Richarlision, are not going to be made available by Everton.

Unfortunately, it does not seem that Juventus would be interested in the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Sandro Ramirez, or Yannick Bolasie.

The report also mentions that Rabiot’s wages, a £120,000-a-week, would be an issue for the Toffees.

With that in mind, Everton have a clear stumbling block in their pursuit of Rabiot but the apparent news that Goodison Park is his first choice can only be seen as good news.
