According to the , Sampdoria are now interested in signing Ryan Christie from Celtic, amid interest from Crystal Palace.

Well, the 26-year-old soon finds himself out of contract. Strangely, his deal runs out in January, midway through the season.

The Daily Record recently revealed that Patrick Vieira is keen to bring Christie to Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace desperately needed more sources of creativity, and found an excellent solution in Michael Olise who arrived on Thursday.

As a result, we no longer feel Christie is required.

Celtic’s No.17 is a brilliant player, who impressively provided assists last season.

However, Vieira has Wilfried Zaha, Ebere Eze and Olise to play behind the centre-forward, so it’s not guaranteed Christie will start – in our view.

One thing is for certain, however – whichever club signs the Scot will be getting a fine player.
