It was recently claimed that he had informed the Gunners that he wanted to leave despite the club wanting to agree fresh terms with the 22-year-old.

However, Nketiah is yet to feature in the Premier League this term. And he is attracting attention, with Borussia Monchengladbach recently named as an admirer.

that the Bundesliga side want Nketiah. But they also report that Palace are keen on signing him.

That may come as little surprise. Palace were heavily linked in the summer. However, Arsenal’s £20 million asking price seemingly put the Eagles off bringing him to Selhurst Park.

But of course, with his contract still set to expire, it appears that Patrick Vieira’s men could have another look.

Arsenal may prefer Nketiah to move to Germany amid Crystal Palace links

It does seem increasingly likely that Nketiah will leave Arsenal in the coming months. And in truth, he does appear to not quite be at the level needed to cement a spot in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Having said that, there may be a sense of unease if he ends up at a Premier League rival. He is the record goalscorer for England’s under-21s, for example.

He clearly has talent. So some may be hoping that he moves to Germany to lessen the likelihood of Nketiah coming back to haunt Arsenal in the future.
