Although his spell at Old Trafford was as a younger player under a manager who gave him few opportunities, Zaha may still feel he has been burned by that experience.
He may, then, see a move abroad as the ideal tonic to kick on in his career even further. The likes of Jadon Sancho are living proof that it can work out in Germany, while Jude Bellingham has also recently signed for Dortmund.
It’s a big decision for Zaha to make but one that could benefit Palace. Despite his talent, they’re likely to get a hefty fee for their main man and should be able to reinvest it back into the squad.
