Crystal Palace transfer: Eagles reportedly fancy West Brom star

Crystal Palace are keen on signing West Brom star Matheus Pereira, . The Eagles are set to embark on a new era during 2021/22 with Patrick Vieira at the helm.

Signing him won’t come easy though. The Baggies value their star man in the region of £30 million, despite their relegation from the Premier League last season.

Crystal Palace will go in search of several new players during the summer. Attackers will be in the sights of Vieira and the 25-year-old could fit the bill.

Pereira scored 12 goals last season, which was one more than Wilfried Zaha managed as Palace’s top goalscorer for the 2020/21 campaign.

The versatile forward also made six assists during his maiden campaign in the Premier League. He proved himself a decent player and should earn a top-flight stay.

That could all depend on whether or not anyone will get close to his valuation, however. He also earns although that sort of salary shouldn’t be an issue for the Eagles.

Pereira to Palace: Vieira could pull off masterful signing

Crystal Palace have been known to pull off some really good deals in the transfer market and this could prove to be another one.

Although it seems unlikely that the club will pay £30 million, West Brom could be willing to do business if the player expresses a desire to leave.

Palace have already added Michael Olise to their ranks this summer; whilst Chelsea talent Marc Guehi is set to join from Stamford Bridge.

At 25, Pereira looks like a quality signing. Last season he played largely on the right-wing, although he also operated on the left and in the No.10 role.

Vieira would welcome that level of versatility within his squad and as a result, the West Brom man could be perfect for Crystal Palace.
