Report: Crystal Palace could terminate Michy Batshuayi loan
Crystal Palace could choose to terminate Michy Batshuayi’s loan this month, .
Batshuayi’s return to Selhurst Park has not played out how Roy Hodgson would have hoped. The 27-year-old scored five times in 11 league games during his previous stint with the Eagles.
However, he is still awaiting his first goal in the same number of appearances this time around. Admittedly, he has only made four starts for Palace.
And it now appears that he may not get a chance to make many more. that Palace are keen to either move Christian Benteke on or bring an end to Batshuayi’s loan.
Benteke has scored three times this term. So he edges that particular battle.
, he is on £125,000-a-week. So offloading Benteke may not be easy either.
Meanwhile, that Batshuayi earns £90,000-a-week. And much may depend on Chelsea’s stance on his loan being terminated.
Incoming boss Thomas Tuchel worked with Batshuayi at Borussia Dortmund. So perhaps he may be open to welcoming the forward back into the fold.
If not, the Blues may want Batshuayi to have another move lined up before Palace get the green light to cancel his loan.
Based on his form so far this term, that may not be easy for the striker to organise.
