Report: Crystal Palace and Championship sides eye Liverpool teen Rhian Brewster
that Crystal Palace are interested in taking Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster on loan in the January transfer window, but face competition from Championship sides and even from Germany.
Brewster, 19, made his second senior appearance for Liverpool on Wednesday night as The Reds scored a late-mminute equaliser through Divock Origi – before winning on penalties after Dani Ceballos missed from 12 yards.
The England youth international failed to score despite the 5-5 draw, with some Reds fans criticising the striker – especially given Arsenal teen Gabriel Martinelli has now netted seven goals in four starts, at just 18.
However, his performances have enticed former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson, who is keen to see if Liverpool will allow Brewster to leave on loan in January. Bristol City and Swansea are also keen, while German clubs are also said to be interested.

TBR’s view – Brewster needs game time, but must pick wisely
Judging on his performances against MK Dons and Arsenal, it must be said that although Brewster works incredibly hard, he probably is not yet ready for Premier League football – or in fact German Bundesliga football.
Instead, dropping down to the Championship for a handful of games during the second half of the 2019-20 campaign could work perfectly. Both Bristol City and Swansea play attractive football and will hope to be in and around the top six.
Brewster could boost his chances of more game time at Liverpool by shining on loan in the Championship, something which the likes of Harry Wilson, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham all used effectively last season.
