Report: Conte has told Tottenham players he does not want to see anyone overweight again
Antonio Conte told Tottenham players after the win over Vitesse that he does not want to see anyone overweight at Spurs.
Conte has made quite the impression since joining Tottenham. In his first two games, he has beat Vitesse and drew with Everton away on Sunday.
But it his intense training sessions, detailed video analysis meetings and changes to the canteen that have impressed Spurs players.
They feel, as per the report, they are returning to the standards Mauricio Pochettino implemented – taking them to the Champions League final.
The latest report from The Athletic says Conte told the Spurs players after the match that he does not want to see anyone overweight, again.
It also claims that Conte is of the opinion that some of his Spurs players are not at their optimum weight. However, it does not name names.

“He made it clear this was the last time he ever wanted to see overweight players, current levels were unacceptable,” Charlie Eccleshare writes.
“He believes a handful of the players are overweight. He has cut out heavy food and sandwiches after training, and taken away ketchup and mayo.”
Conte warns Tottenham players: Standard already being increased
As The Athletic’s Eccleshare says, it feels as though it has been a month that Conte has been in charge – when in fact it has been 10 days.
The increase in standards expected of the players is night and day. On the pitch, the fitness of the players declined under Jose Mourinho, and Nuno.
A lack of pressing, and playing in more of a pragmatic style, meant Tottenham’s players were running less. Conte is changing that.
His coaching staff are demanding much more, physically and in terms of preparation. It might take time, but Spurs are on their way back.
