Report: Club want to sign Arsenal’s £19m man after just avoiding relegation, he’ll have to take big pay cut
Hertha Berlin want Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno, who has slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.
Aaron Ramsdale is number one now and Matt Turner is all set to join Arsenal as his deputy ahead of the new season.
That means Leno is all but certain to leave and all that is left to be decided is his next destination, with the World Cup on the horizon.
German outlet report that Leno is a target for Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin when the transfer window opens this week.

Their report reads: “The international goalkeeper is only on the bench in England after 125 appearances.
“He can leave the club, but would have to forego a lot of salary in Berlin.
“At the moment, the former Leverkusen player is expected to collect €6 million (£5.1 million) in London.“
Berlin only just secured their top flight status with a overcoming a first leg defeat to beat Hamburg 2-0 and stay up.
It looks like Arsenal will need to take quite a loss on the £19 million the reported they signed Leno for in June 2018.
And the common problem for all Premier League clubs trying to offload their unwanted players is whether they will take a pay cut.
Premier League budgets are so much higher than most of the other European leagues, which has a lot of benefits for clubs but this is one of the major downsides.
