Report: Club to use former Everton transfer target to land Toffees midfielder

Everton midfielder Nikolas Vlasic has emerged as a transfer target for Beskitas.

the Turkish side are keen on the 21-year-old, who spent the 2018/19 season on loan at CSKA Moscow.

Vlasic, a 2017 signing from Hadjuk Split, had a great season over in the Russian top-flight, making 31 appearances and scoring eight goals and making seven assists.

The attacking midfielder may not be a part of Marco Silva’s plans for next term.

The club already have Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andre Gomes could return on a permanent deal.

Besiktas feel they can land the star, with the help of a former Everton transfer target.

The 30-year-old was excellent at the back alongside Dejan Lovren, and the Toffees were credited with interest in the player.

Now he could play a part in Everton selling their man to Besiktas, with Vlasic also a Croatia international.

Silva might be wise to keep hold of him, although the player is keen to play regularly, which may not be possible with Sigurdsson an established starter.

With Vida set to talk up life in Istanbul, Everton may be powerless to prevent the 21-year-old’s exit this summer.
