Report: Club now ready to sell 23-year-old after claims Arsenal made £17m bid for him

Sheffield United are now ready to sell Sander Berge this summer, amid claims of Arsenal’s interest, .
Arsenal have been strongly linked with Berge throughout the transfer window to date, that the Gunners had actually made a bid for him back in June.
Sheffield United reportedly turned down that offer from Edu, which was worth just over £17 million.
But the Times say that Sheffield United do expect that Norwegian to depart this summer.
Interestingly, Berge is not the only Blades player who Arsenal are interested in, with Aaron Ramsdale also thought to be on their wishlist.
But while Sheffield United are fighting hard to keep Ramsdale, Berge is predicted to leave Bramall Lane.

A solid fit?
If he was to join Arsenal he could be a good fit for their current team.
Mikel Arteta seems to be looking to sign players who he feels he can work with to develop on the training ground.
Berge has shown real signs of promise in his time in England so far, although he was unable to stop the Blades slipping to relegation last term.
With Arsenal set for a midfield shake-up, the 23-year-old could arrive to add further competition for places alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga.
And it may be worth keeping an eye on whether Arsenal make an improved offer now, with Sheffield United seemingly willing to do business.
