Report claims no official bids for Serge Aurier who will not sign new Tottenham contract

Serge Aurier is now expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with the move of Wolves defender Matt Doherty to North London on the cusp of completion. 

That is according to numerous reports in wake of the impending £15 million deal, with the Ivory Coast international now considered surplus to requirements. 

that Aurier, who has two years remaining on his contract at Spurs, has expressed little to no interest in signing a new deal with the club. That makes this summer the most profitable time to move him on, with the likes of AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen said to be keen. 

However, despite several reports on the continent suggesting otherwise, Tottenham have not yet fielded an official bid for the player. who claim no concrete interest has arrived for the player, with Tottenham hoping to sell for a figure in the region of £22 million. 

Aurier became the undisputed starter at right-back under Jose Mourinho last season but by necessity rather than choice. 

Spurs have mismanaged their right-back situation since last summer, when no direct replacement was brought in to replace Kieran Trippier after his move to Atletico Madrid. Mauricio Pochettino appeared ready to back Juan Foyth as a right-back option, but the Argentine picked up an injury and has been completely ignored by Mourinho since returning to fitness.

Aurier, for all his positive attributes, has proven himself a liability in his defensive duties and it appears Tottenham have had enough. 

Unfortunately, his inconsistent form and that price-tag will make him a tough sell in the transfer market this summer.
