Report claims Everton are planning move for Lazio star Ciro Immobile

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen for the Toffees to join the race for Lazio striker Ciro Immobile this summer, .

Ancelotti will have one eye on his first summer window at Goodison Park. And after a quiet January, the Italian will be hoping to make his first addition to his squad on Merseyside during the coming months.

And it appears that he has set his sights extremely high.

, Everton are considering an ambitious move for Immobile, who has enjoyed a stunning season at Stadio Olimpico.

The 30-year-old has scored 27 goals in just 26 Serie A games this season. In fact, he is the leading goalscorer across all of Europe’s major leagues.

It is noted by 90Min that Immobile is happy with the Biancocelesti and has contract that will run until 2023. So Everton will seemingly have plenty of work to do if they hope to lure the forward to the Premier League.

TBR View – Immobile would arrive with point to prove

It is remarkable to say, but Immobile would arguably have a point to prove if he joined Everton.

He will almost definitely not come cheap. And he was not a success on the previous occasions he has left Italy. He struggled with Borussia Dortmund and only made 15 appearances for Sevilla.

But he has an outstanding record with Lazio. And it seems difficult to imagine many Everton fans having any complaints if Ancelotti proves to be the man to win the race for his signature this summer.
