Report: Chelsea want swap deal for Manchester City and Liverpool-linked Coman

Chelsea want to engineer a swap deal between Manchester City and Liverpool linked Kingsley Coman and Callum Hudson-Odoi. according to (via ).

The Citizens and Reds are reportedly in for the Bayern Munich winger this summer. Recent reports have claimed Pep Guardiola’s side were looking to sign the ace.

Both sides have been handed a blow after Oliver Kahn claimed the club were optimistic the attacker will sign a new deal. The former club captain labelled Coman an ‘absolute top player’.

However, some have said Bayern are allegedly unwilling to match the player’s high wage demands.

The newspaper is claiming that Hudson-Odoi isn’t part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

Man City could use Coman as attacking reinforcement

Liverpool and City have received a big blow in their pursuit of the winger. It seems Chelsea will push hard to sign the France international and in Hudson-Odoi they have an ace up their sleeve.

Both have differing needs this summer. Manchester City could use Coman as an attacking reinforcement, while Liverpool would only need the ace if they sold players.

City are looking to move on a raft of attacking stars. The likes of Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva have uncertain futures.

Meanwhile, things are far different at Anfield. The signing of Diogo Jota last summer added more quality to what was an already frightening trio.

Realistically, Coman would only arrive if one of Liverpool’s big four were to leave this summer.
