The forward has enjoyed a stunning loan spell with Southampton. His tally of nine goals and one assist makes him one of only three Premier League players under the age of 21 to have been directly involved in at least 10 goals in all competitions.

Francis Benali labelled him ‘‘. And he would certainly be an exciting addition as Arsenal look to bolster their striker ranks in the summer.

However, any hops of landing Broja on the cheap have been dashed.

that Chelsea want at least £58 million (€70 million). In fact, the report suggests that the Blues value Broja at a higher amount than Romelu Lukaku.

They could sell the Belgian for as little as £37.3 million.

Broja move looks a lot riskier for Arsenal if Chelsea want £58m

Broja looks to have so much talent and potential. He has settled superbly in the Premier League. And he will surely be the name at the top of Southampton’s wishlist this summer.

The Saints will almost certainly have no chance of a deal if the Blues want over £50 million. In fact, many sides will be taken out of the running.

Arsenal could afford that sort of fee, particularly after a quiet January. But clearly, a move would be a lot riskier for that sort of price.

Broja would be the Arsenal will have ever made. And that would be something considering that he has only made 23 Premier League appearances.

Having said that, if they are confident that his form is a sign of what is to come, Arsenal may well still be tempted to make a serious offer.
