Report: Championship club have Ryan Manning bid accepted, amid West Ham links

West Ham reportedly wanted QPR left-back Ryan Manning earlier this month with the Championship star just one name on a six-man shortlist – but on their Transfer Centre (Friday, 15.01pm) that he could leave to a different side.

Manning, 24, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at QPR and that attracted West Ham, who wanted a left-back this summer but have seemingly failed to get one. he was one of six Championship stars interesting the Hammers.

The report claims he was rated at a bargain £5million after clocking up 96 appearances in all competitions for the London side – in which he has had a hand in 19 goals. But West Ham are now set to miss out on the defender.

That is because Swansea have had a bid accepted for Manning, as per the latest report. West Ham, meanwhile, remain hopeful they can get a deal over the line for Brentford playmaker Said Benrahma – worth a whopping £30million.

The Hammers still boast Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku, with both impressing of late. But the Hammers wanted cover on the left side of the defence, with Cresswell playing on the left side of a back three – and Masuaku playing as a left wing-back.

But Manning will not be on his way to east London and it looks unlikely that he will be staying in London too – with Swansea looking to secure a late deal for the left-back.
