Report: Celtic want Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes on loan
Celtic are interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes on loan during the January transfer window, .
It is little surprise to see Neil Lennon target a new goalscorer ahead of next month. The Hoops arguably need greater depth up front as they look to battle on three fronts during the second-half of the season.

Rhodes has not had the easiest time this season. But the 29-year-old provided a reminder of his quality last weekend as he scored a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest for the Owls.
that his future remains uncertain. It is suggested that Garry Monk wants to bring a new striker in in January, and that may open the door for Rhodes to leave on loan.

The Scottish Sun suggests that both Celtic and Wigan are interested in Rhodes. But the latter may reportedly struggle to afford his wages, seemingly leaving the Bhoys in the driving seat.
TBR View – Rhodes may be inspired loan signing for Celtic
Rhodes has not had the best time since leaving Blackburn in 2017. He struggled with Middlesbrough and has not exactly been a brilliant signing for Wednesday. that the Owls agreed to pay £10 million as a future fee when they initially signed the forward on loan.
But he did fairly well on loan at Norwich City last season, helping the Canaries to promotion. And he may prove to be an inspired roll of the dice for Celtic.
His career record is not too far off a goal every other game. And Celtic have had some success when it comes to getting the best out of the players who have previously struggled.
Scott Sinclair was a revelation for much of his Parkhead spell. And Fraser Forster is enjoying something of a career revival since returning to the Hoops.
Rhodes may be a somewhat underwhelming target for some Celtic fans. But it should not be a huge surprise if he turns out to be an inspired addition should he join.
