Ajer is a long-term target for Daniel Farke’s side. And with the 23-year-old in the final year of his Celtic contract, there is a good chance the Hoops will cash in on him this summer.

The 23-year-old is looking likely to be the next defensive prospect Celtic sell to the Premier League. Indeed, the Hoops sold Virgil van Dijk in 2015 for less than the £12m Norwich are offering for Ajer.

New Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has already identified several transfer targets he wants to bring to Glasgow this summer. The Hoops have so far only recruited Osaze Urhoghide from Sheffield Wednesday.

As per the Daily Record, Croatian youngster Mario Vuskovic is the main option to replace Ajer should the Scandinavian defender leave for the Premier League in the window.
