Report: Celtic receive loan-to-buy offer for Boli Bolingoli from French side Amiens

that French side Amiens have tabled a loan-to-buy offer for Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli, who is expected to leave the Scottish champions after his ill-advised day-long trip to Spain.

Bolingoli, 25, has endured a difficult time at Celtic since his £3million move from Rapid Vienna last summer. But his spell at Celtic has been made entirely worse, after taking a flight to Spain last week.

The defender chose to keep his short trip to himself, and did not quarantine like he was supposed to. It saw him play for Celtic on Sunday against Kilmarnock, before finally confessing that he had left the country.

Neil Lennon labelled himself as “livid” while Bolingoli’s teammates are also unhappy. Now, relegated French side Amiens have made an offer to sign Bolingoli on loan – with a view to making a purchase permanent for £2.3million.

TBR’s view – Celtic must accept any offers for Bolingoli

The selfish, and quite ridiculous act has angered all of a Celtic persuasion – endangering his teammates due to his travel to the high-risk country and since seeing two Celtic league games postponed.

Rangers now have the chance to take an early lead in the race for the Scottish Premiership and while the Gers will not have gained an advantage in terms of points and games played, psychologically it could be an advantage.

Bolingoli needs to get out of Celtic as quickly as possible and the Hoops should at least afford him that opportunity. Even if it is the second tier of French football, Bolingoli should jump at the chance to join Amiens.
