Scales to Celtic: Bargain for player with potential, yet unproven

Scales has plenty of potential and while he is already 23, he is still learning his craft with just over 150 appearances at professional level.

A young 23, Scales has plenty of learning left to do. But quickly becoming one of Shamrock’s best players, Scales is certainly worth the outlay.

Versatile, a goal threat from defence, solid in the air – Scales covers two positions that Celtic really need to improve. Centre-back and left-back.

Thursday night showed Celtic have a lack of cover at left-back, after Greg Taylor went off. Carl Starfelt was guilty of another mistake at centre-back.

Scales could be diamond, unearthed from the gem for a bargain fee. He has the potential and the current quality to improve Celtic’s side.
