Report: Celtic interested in Sheffield Wednesday star Cameron Dawson
Celtic are interested in securing the services of Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Cameron Dawson,
The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is being courted by Rangers, Derby County and Blackburn Rovers as well.
Dawson is Garry Monk’s first-choice custodian at the moment, with Wednesday in a lofty position inside the top-six of the Championship.
During 2019/20 he has played 16 games, keeping eight clean sheets and conceding just 12 goals.

Fraser Forster is currently Celtic’s number one stopper but he could go back to Southampton in the summer.
Even if the England stopper was to be added to the ranks on a permanent basis, the Hoops might look towards signing a solid backup.
Dawson has become a reliable pair of hands for Wednesday and they will surely be forthcoming with a contract offer.
The academy graduate has waited patiently for his chance to keep the gloves. He spent time on loan at Alfreton, Wycombe and Chesterfield as he was cutting his teeth in the professional game.
TBR View – Dawson capable but is he Celtic class?
Celtic have been treated to several goalkeeper masterclasses from Forster this season and they will hope he can be signed permanently.
It’s fair to say that Dawson isn’t quite at the level of the man currently in possession of the gloves at Parkhead.

As a result, he would need to prove to the supporters that he is capable of doing a job in Scotland and during an inevitable European campaign.
With the Owls pushing hard for a play-off place, it seems unlikely they will let Dawson go this month.
That should give the Hoops plenty of time to assess whether they feel Dawson can do a job for them next season or not.
