that Celtic are in ‘advanced talks’ to hire out-of-work manager Eddie Howe as Neil Lennon’s permanent replacement and could make an announcement soon.
Celtic are yet to hire a new boss after Lennon’s exit following a 1-0 defeat to Ross County. Many have been linked, including the likes of Enzo Maresca, Frank Lampard, Roy Keane and plenty more since Lennon departed.
Howe has been a constant throughout the search for a new manager and it is believed the Bournemouth legend is now on the verge of being announced as Celtic’s new boss – with both parties in advanced talks over a move.
It is also claimed that Celtic are about to pull of a major coup in landing Howe, who has decided to reject the advances of two Premier League clubs in order to replace Lennon – in Sheffield United and another unnamed side.

TBR’s view – Howe has man-management to take Celtic forward
While he probably does not have the big-name calibre of a Keane or a Lampard that would have significantly improved Celtic going forward when it comes to recruitment – Howe fits the bill and still has plenty of reputation.
It is the right move, and a bold one by Celtic’s board as they look to get back on track with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers. He should be given the chance to spend big this summer, and bring his own staff to the club – unlike Lennon.
The right choice, eventually. But Howe’s ability as a manager can help Celtic reign Rangers in.
