Report: Celtic attacker given permission to hold imminent talks with English club
Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair is reportedly set to hold talks with English Championship side Preston about a potential move during this January transfer window.
, Scottish giants Celtic have given the 30-year-old permission to have discussions with Preston and view the player as surplus to requirements at Parkhead.
It is understood that the winger has traveled back to the UK from a winter training camp in Dubai to have imminent talks, with the report explaining he’s “on the verge” of transferring away from Scotland.
The report details that Preston will have contact with Sinclair, but Stoke City have also been monitoring him.
Sinclair has been frozen out by Celtic boss Neil Lennon this season, making just seven appearances across all competitions.
But the left-winger has scored 62 goals in 167 appearances during his time for the club and was pivotal under ex-boss Brendan Rodgers.

TBR’s View:
Sinclair shouldn’t be blamed for going in search of a January move, as he’s clearly not in favour with Lennon anymore and isn’t getting a chance.
His contract does expire at the end of the season, but there his little point spending the next six months isolated on the bench.
He would surely be a brilliant addition for Preston, who are hunting promotion in the Championship and they would be acquiring a strong goalscorer if they get him.
Celtic have definitely got the best out of Sinclair and it could be a good deal for all parties involved this January.
